The only way to make this punishment worse is if you had to listen to Justin Beber music at the same time.

Since this has all the earmarks of degenerating into a troll-type discussion, I suppose abandoning attempts to reason with you is the next logical step. You will note that I tried to treat you as an adult, however. Now, of all those who come trolling around and setting themselves up as some sort of authority on social/legal matters (and not, in fact, having sufficent knowledge to back this claim), the single constant I've noticed is that thier own work is substandard. It has ranged from "butt average" to "poor". If it was once or twice, it's be one thing, but as a constant? I think what this whole pheomena indicates is a sense of individual inferiority, projected on to the situation in general. An "inferiority complex", to quote Jung. The obvious cure for this is to practice your own art till it develops sufficiently past the kindergarden level that you can respect yourself, and cease these puerile fault-finding excursions. I assure you, they are useless, and waste everyone's time. Not that I believe you have the intestinal fortitude to try , but it would work.

"So HA". "look who's talking". Seriously? If you come from somewhere where such statemnts are considered relevant, I supose you deserve my pity. My pity, but not my serious consideration.

Now, none of that had validity as argument, and this is growing more childish by the exchange. Your dodging the point is answer enough.

(See part about the author not being identifiable)

You seem to think that every artist has these huge issues. Almost all of us are more than willing to share a good joke. If I ever do find the author, there's a good chance they'll be more than happy to let me run it. As would 999 out of 1000 people here, I suspect. Only pedantic martinets get worked up about such things, if money isn't involved - as it isn't here.

uhh no, you're dodging my point by not deleting this "deviation". i've seen people get reported for stealing, and you won't be an exception. you haven't fully gotten the permission because you haven't gone to ask the person responsible for the idea if you could use it

Before you dig your hole any deeper, maybe you should check out the original source material? maybe you should have done that first?

And how would not deleting this constitute "dodging the point"? Do you know what the words you use even mean?

Report me if it floats your boat. The real determiner of whether or not it's theft is the owner of the intellectual property. Not you.

original source material means nothing if you're "sharing" it on deviantart without asking to do so. case in point. but the fact is that you took something from someone without doing the honor of asking them if you could use it.

i'm against theft because i've already had my own artwork stolen by a bunch of koreans that run a website. i don't think you'd want to be in the same boat as me, nor having to deal with a bunch of paperwork just to get everything back on the ground

original Souce material means quite a bit, regardless.

If you seriously think I took something without permission, go find the author, and find out for yurself if that's a fact. or if you've just embarrassed yourself royally.

I don't think so. You get pushy, order people around like you have some rank, make accusations that you can NOT back up, don't bother to check facts, use instigatory language, start in with caps lock, and dodge relevant points while not making clear ones yourself. Troll conduct. You claim to be trying to be helpful, but it's clear you just have issues, and you're using a pretended position of morality to vent them on others. Not all that uncommon, sadly, but not conduct which I intend to roll over and play nice for, either. You KNOW you've got nothing, or else you would have been mentioning the original artist by now. I'll do my own fact checking, thanx.

Until you do find them, have a nice day.

You were dead set on instigating a confrontation (still are),and the only thing you needed to actually win this argument is a victim. A name of the party stolen from. You don't have it, because it isn't there. Along with your basic argument. No victim = no crime. I highly doubt that you're simpleminded enough to believe i didn't look for an author when I first found the piece.

A critical bit of data without which your whole agrumentive framework is invalid. You can bleat "stealing is wrong" all day, but you can't call me a thief. Not accurately. (not that telling the truth seems uppermost in your priorities.)

you don't even know the definition of troll, so stop trying to phrase it like it means something different when all i've been trying to do all this time is to tell you that stealing ones submission is wrong. as a matter of fact, i don't even know why this is on here. it's certainly not ART that's for sure

As voltaire said "If we are to argue, define your terms". What, in your imperial opinion, is "Art"?

Ah, so you haven't been in here acting like a pompous braggart, but have instead been piously instructing me on basic morality, out of generousity and the righteous goodness of shared humanity. An easy mistake to make, I'm sure.

"You don't know the definition of troll". What grade are you in again? Seriously.

So, who am I supposed to have been stealing from again? I seem to have overlooked our mentioning them.

"Straw man"

I'm going to play logical fallacy bingo" with your comments. Since you don't want to a actually define "art", or clarify the words you're (mis)using.

Picking the seemingly smallest argument and answering it in orde to avoid answering the real questions, is straw man. Keep 'em coming.

Actually, the rational action would have been to carefully look at the rules, the context of the rules, and the intent of such rules, then proceed from that basis. Not throw around words like "stealing" in a context which renders your words a lie 'ab initio'. Theft requires that the owner is denied usage or claim to said property. i specifically do not claim it, nor deny useage. Do you know the disclaimer you have to agree to before you make anything on cheezburger? Do you understand the principle of rightful permission? Just have a laugh and chill, or if you don't don't read it. But do your homework before buzzkilling everyone. There's a very good chance you'll end up humiliating yourself. Moreso than you just have.

"That's the only detail you need to know"? Au Contraiare mon petite. you have just made a vast collection of dubious statements, with no regard whatsoever for the facts. To accuse someone of theft, you must have - at the very least - a working knowlesdge of the legal princibles involved. That's just common sense. If I want to use it in a facebook fasion, well, that's been done by many, and who do you pretend you are that you see fit to value judge this practice? Why would any rational person even care? And, as long As I gave proper credit, I suppose I could do exactly as this Johnson fellow. Again, why do you appoint yourself executor of who can do what on this site? Present your qualifications for this post. And no, having a big mouth is not a valid qualification.
